Like always, I find it hard to take the time to sit down and write on my blog. With moving out of the flat and the big move to Vancouver right around the corner, finding some time to myself where I am not stressing about the move is very rare. However on Saturday night, I found a spot of time this evening to relax and reflect on what’s been happening during September – November.
September
Danny & I discovered the best pasta in Worthing called Pomodoro e Mozzarella. You know sometimes how you go out and the portions are small but you pay £££ for something that tastes awful. Well, this place is nothing like that! It’s good value and tastes sooooooooo GOOD!
Penguin drinks happened in Brighton.
I turned 29! I wasn’t fussed about having a big party this year, but I did eat out a lot! I went out for brunch with Sophie and Gwen and was surprised with a Julien Plumart cake – which was AMAZING! Also Laura, my manchester chica sent me flowers.
On my actual birthday Danny & I headed to London to go to the Cat Cafe where we had afternoon tea. Followed by the best DIM SUM – I am drooling thinking back to how good it was right now.
Had a girls weekend in Hawkhurst, as my friends Sophie and Richard got married in Ticehurst, so we thought we’d make a girls weekend of it.
I then attended ANOTHER wedding for friends Alex and Sam!
My friend Sarah had a birthday too, so we did a spot of golfing and bowling.
October
It was the Zapier Support Retreat and we got to fly to LAS VEGAS! I literally feel like I need to pinch myself from the amazing travel opportunities my employer gives me. Whilst we were there for work, in the evenings we did get some downtime.
I met Baddiewinkle in one of the casinos as she was standing in line waiting for some ice cream – she was so sweet!
And a load of us managed to get tickets to see BRITNEY SPEARS! It was such a nostalgic night and despite denting into my Vancouver savings to go see her, it was totally worth it!
Visited my aunt and went round for Sunday lunch, also she had a new puppy.
November
I changed my hair colour, also I decided that it was time to bring the fringe back!
My friend Kyleigh celebrated a big birthday – it was very hard not to tell her about her surprise birthday, but it was worth seeing her shocked face in the evening.
Went and saw the fireworks on bonfire night with the Harris household.
November was the month of viewings to the flat. As I work from home it means I have to escape the flat to let strangers walk around. One of the viewings I was actually in and I ended up giving a better tour that the letting agent. She didn’t even tell people that the flat has a parking space or a washer/tumble dryer, like come on now.
As well as viewings, this month has been the month of downsizing and throwing away pretty much everything that we own. It is very hard to see some items go, but it is insane the amount of clutter one accumulates over the years. Selling my items on eBay has become my second job.
Had a minor Animal Crossing obsession.
So that is a wrap for now. I hope you enjoyed my little summary of what I’ve been up too and I will catch you in the next post.
Until then xo
